It’s been almost a full month since we ran our very exciting “Speaking With Specialists” event, and these are the lessons that stuck.

It’s been almost a full month since we ran our very exciting “Speaking With Specialists” event, and boy, has the last month flown by!

Our special guests, SA Rugby champions Schalk Burger and Rene Naylor shared such valuable insights during our panel discussion, and while the world is still in a state of big change, I thought it would be good to reconnect with you and to share the 5 key lessons I took away from the conversation.

  1. In all 3 World Cups we won, every single member of the team, whether it’s a player, support staff or management, had a VERY clear idea of what their role was and what was expected of them…no uncertainty, everybody knew and understood their roles completely.
  2. Things are not always “plain sailing” and everything doesn’t always go exactly to plan…as long as you understand and embrace this, you will be in a better position to react and deal with stumbling blocks.
  3. Confidence comes from preparation, the magic happens on the training field and the hours you put in before the event.
  4. Specialise each role in every team and ensure you have the best available resource focusing on that role (or outsource it if you don’t have that speciality in-house) in order to build maximum team efficiency.
  5. Building a winning culture is an ongoing process, not a once-off fix or event.

Once again, thank you to all who attended the event. We truly appreciate your support and, as usual, always value your input. If there’s anything you learnt from the session that I may have missed, I’d love to hear about it!

And, as mentioned in the webinar, if you or your business require our team to facilitate a free Fund Audit, we’d be honoured to share how we do what we do, and the benefits to your business.
